Taxonomic Journals

20-03-2013

CONICET recently approved the use of a special list of taxonomic journals for evaluating researchers publishing in this area of science. This action establishes that the work of systematics is rated by the CONICET Advisory Committees under its own thirds of journals, thus promoting a fair evaluation of the work of taxonomists. This list was compiled by an ad hoc committee of taxonomists who conducted a detailed analysis of the journals of botanical and zoological taxonomy, and established a ranking of journals, indexed or not, based on scientific rigor, its editorial board and the quality of published papers.
