New species of the genus Astragalus (Leguminosae, Galegeae) from Peru

Abstract

Astragalus cajamarcanus (Leguminosae, Galegeae), a new species endemic to Cajamarca, Peru, is described and illustrated. This new species can be compared with the related A. sagasteguii also from
Cajamarca. A morphological comparison with its closest species and notes about the habitat are provided.
