Abstract

A survey of phoenicoid fungi occuring in burnt areas near San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina, is given. Until now, scarce information on this group of organisms has been provided from that country. The studied species are listed with comments on their habitats and distribution in Argentina. Ascobolus carbonarius, Peziza violacea, Plicaria endocarpoides and Jugulospora rotula are new records for Argentina.
