Old and new morphological characters confirm that Waltheria pyrolifolia is abundantly distinct from W. indica s.l., not its synonym, nor teratological material of it. The first illustrations of W. pyrolifolia are presented. It is here IUCN global category assessed as critically endangered, tagged possibly extinct. The earliest lectotypifications of W. indica and W. americana, realized by Gillis in 1974, are clarified.Downloads
