Abstract

The genus Puccinellia Parl. is represented in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Uruguay by 10 species. A key to recognize all species that inhabit in this area is given, together with description of the species, synonymy, iconography, geographical distribution and ecological observations. A new name, Puccinellia parodii Nicora, is proposed, and some remarks about Puccinellia atacamensis (Parodi) Soreng are included.
