Abstract

Deprea ecuatoriana Hunz. et Barboza, a new species from Ecuador (Prov. Loja) is described and illustrated. Floral and fruit peculiarities and its affinities with D. orinocensis (Kunth) Raf. and D. cardenasiana Hunz. are discussed.
