Abstract

Parmotrema dilatatum and Parmotrema gardneri are recorded for the first time for Argentina andParaguay. Both species are described and illustrated, and a map with their distribution in South Americais included. A key to differentiate sorediate and sorediate-pustulate species of Parmotrema with protocetraricacid is also presented.
