New species of Sapotaceae from Costa Rica

Abstract

Two new species of Sapotaceae from Costa Rica are described: Chromolucuma cespedesiiformis and Pouteria spicata, and their relationships with allied species are discussed. A key for the Neotropical species of Chromolucuma and a key for the species of Pouteria reported in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama are included.
