The anatomical analysis of charred woody remains confirmed the use of Chusquea culeou at Meliquina Lake archaeological site, Argentinean Patagonia. We present the anatomical analysis of both charred archaeological and present reference materials, and we highlight the use of this species to make structures that separated different areas for subsistence activities during the occupation of the site.
