Abstract

Verben and Glandulari are two genera of Verbenaceae closely related by their morphology. In this work, six species of Verbena from southern Brazil, Uruguay and Chile are transferred to Glandularia: G. catharinae, G. corymbosa, G. dusenii, G. gynobasis, G. hatschbachii and G. jordanensis, based on several typical Glandulari features, such as those related to habit, style length, inflorescence types and position of teeth on the fructiferous calyx, among others. Descriptions, illustrations and a distribu-
tion map are also provided.
